For this project I have decided to create a promotional animation for the World Cup 2010 which will be held in South Africa.
Aims
My aims for this project are to produce an industry standard level piece of work that communicates the brand of FIFA whilst keeping to the theme of South Africa running throughout the animation. I would also like to try different methods of animation such as 3D and cell animation and I also would like to try and use the green screen in the final outcome. My aim is to produce a piece of work that demonstrates knowledge of various animation techniques so that I have a piece of work that demonstrates my capabilities to use in a demo-reel, however I will not try to force techniques into the animation if I feel it doesn’t work.
Learning outcomes
Throughout this project I hope to learn from my previous project (Special Studies 1) on how to manage my time better and structure my work and I also want to develop my animation skills in other areas other than motion graphics. As in my last project I think I will be covering a variety of areas to create the final outcome such as-
• Writing the script
• Market research
• Design (character, set…)
• Storyboarding
• Animating

Reflection of specialist studies 1
For this project I received a script from a Rob Sprackling for a 3D animation and I was to design and animate a title sequence for the movie.
Positive points from the project -
• Gaining experience for working with clients
• Gaining a valuable contact (Rob Sprackling)
• Having creative freedom
• Working on a live project
• I felt I covered a wide variety of area’s throughout this project such as working on target audiences, character designs, working on structures of title sequences, animating and more
Negative points from the project –
• Too much client demands
• My time management
• Not updating my blog more often
• Not focusing on analyzing other title sequences in depth
• Not organizing my work better (sketch work, storyboards…)
